Lancrigg, Grasmere

Lancrigg

Grasmere · Lake District

Nestled beneath the iconic Helm Crag and surrounded by acres of beautiful gardens and woodland, Lancrigg is a hidden gem in the heart of the Lake District. Set on the edge of Grasmere, one of England's most picturesque villages, it offers breathtaking views and a peaceful setting amongst some of the country's most spectacular landscapes.

Lancrigg's story stretches back centuries, with parts of the house dating to the 17th century. In the 1840s, the property became closely associated with William Wordsworth, who helped his friend Elizabeth Fletcher acquire and restore the house. Over the years, Lancrigg welcomed writers, thinkers, and reformers, becoming a place of creativity, conversation, and inspiration. Today, it retains that unique character while providing a beautiful setting for celebration.

We're incredibly excited to have exclusive use of Lancrigg for the entire weekend. Rather than gathering for a single day, we'll have the chance to spend a few relaxed days together, celebrating, catching up, and making the most of this special place with all of our favourite people.

Whether you're staying at Lancrigg or elsewhere nearby, we hope you'll think of it as your home for the weekend. Use it as a base for exploring the fells, taking a dip in one of the Lake District's beautiful waters, wandering into Grasmere, or simply finding a quiet spot to relax and spend time with friends and family.
